A big THANK YOU to family, friends and members of the Canberra business and sporting Community for getting behind our fund raising efforts for the Leukaemia Foundation and our preparation for the London Marathon. My work colleague Steve and I each raised more than $10,000 over the past several months – and seeing that ‘goal achieved’ sign on the fund raising target is just phenomenal!

Someone asked me did I ever think that I might not reach my target. That is a really important question and I will have a go at answering it.
I believed I would reach it – and I knew that I would need the help of others. And I imagined the ‘goal achieved’ sign every step of the way. But I also knew that it wasn’t just my goal – many others were helping and following and enjoying the journey with me.
So the ‘goal achieved’ sign is an important recognition of the efforts of every single person who donated, helped, and motivated me along the way.
Now it’s just a bit over two weeks to the marathon – so, it’s on with the joggers and out for an easy 7km run around the lake. The job’s not finished yet – keep going fitsista… J
