Extreme Baby Boomer!!

Last week, I walked into a lift - and there were two (young) women deep in conversation about baby boomers - they wished the baby boomers would hurry up and retire, baby boomers are out of touch etc etc. I was a bit stunned by this conversation - the broad generalisations that they were making and the intensity of the conversation! I was twitching to say something, but I just listened!  Here I was - technically a baby boomer - fit, wearing a trendy suit, chunky boots, and carrying several devices in my bag. It was getting towards the end of the day and I had an evening gym session scheduled and I was really looking forward to it. I certainly didn't fit their baby boomer description.  Now, I could be criticised for making this next statement - but I did note that these two (young) women smelt of cigarettes, and they looked messy and frumpy.  They were talking about the 'old' baby boomers but in reality, they were old before their time - they looked old and their mind set was old, and from the few minutes in the lift they clearly had an entitlement attitude.  I say, get up, make a difference and don't expect things to be given to you!
