Over the past few years, I have lost 25kg - a real team effort with Allan who is now my personal trainer. This year, I have completed two half-marathons and on 9-10-11 I completed the full Melbourne Marathon! We are working on other challenges to keep the fitness journey interesting...The LONDON MARATHON in April 2012! Along the way, I am interested in hearing about other fit sistas, and will be posting inspirational articles and stories...

Monday 6am - about minus 2 this morning. Gym work this morning: 1km run; flexibility /warm up circuit push ups, sit ups, squats; then skipping, dead lift technique, clean technique, and weighted squats. Not so good on technique - lost my mojo today! The way I look at exercise is that no matter how I feel, I always give it a go. If I'm tired or so or stiff - I just keep going and do my best. My best might not be someone else's best but at the end of each session I am satisfied that I have pushed myself. One of the things that I have learned from yoga, is to be 'present' - just do the best at that moment - I don't think about getting to the end of the session or to the next day or meeting someone else's standards or expectations. I enjoy the journey
