Over the past few years, I have lost 25kg - a real team effort with Allan who is now my personal trainer. This year, I have completed two half-marathons and on 9-10-11 I completed the full Melbourne Marathon! We are working on other challenges to keep the fitness journey interesting...The LONDON MARATHON in April 2012! Along the way, I am interested in hearing about other fit sistas, and will be posting inspirational articles and stories...

Marathon Weekend is Here!!
Well, the Marathon weekend is here and Allan and I and Sheridan are off to Melbourne tomorrow. The big race is on Sunday - with the incredible date 9-10-11! It has been such a journey for Allan over the past 5 years since his heart surgery to get to this point - he is an amazing inspiration and it is just awesome lining up for our first full marathon together. Over the past year, we have run several times a week, worked out in the gym and really worked hard on core strength. And we have pulled muscles - and did I mention the sports massages...ouch and arhhh! We have bought so many books and magazines for both inspiration and information - and learnt about nutrition, race structure, cool gear and mental strategies. People ask, what time will we do - the answer is, whatever time it takes! We have got to the starting line with a completely different outlook on life, stronger bodies and have learnt a heck of a lot along the way - and the great thing is, the learning never stops. So every step after the starting line, is upside! Goes to show, there's no such thing as "can't" - we can always try - and who knows what you might learn and who you might meet along the way! Go Team Johnson - have an absolutely awesome adventure!!
